Intricately woven and colorful invoking thoughts of sultry nights on the subcontinent. At least that is what I was going for when I stitched these.
This piece is dramatic in its color scheme. I begin with the top diamond shape using two tone seed bead of matte white and copper. Then I start on the bottom 3/4 circle with shiny black and copper colored glass beads, copper colored drops on then perimeter and tiny faceted Czech beads for some flash in the center. I attach it to the diamond and reinforce it all around.
VERY light weight for the size, after all is mostly glass and thread. 2.5 is inches from the top of the hook to the bottom and 1.5 across at the widest point. Antique brass ear wires finish the look.
