Manisha Earring — Czech
Intricately woven and colorful invoking thoughts of sultry nights on the subcontinent. At least that is what I was going for when I stitched these.
This piece is bright and classically simple in its color scheme. I begin with the top diamond shape using two tone seed bead of matte white and copper. I finish the last corner with an unusual Czech glass bead, in a semi transparent bronze. Then I start on the bottom 3/4 circle with shiny black colored glass beads. I attach it to the diamond and reinforce it all around.
VERY light weight for the size, after all is mostly glass and thread. 2.5 is inches from the top of the hook to the bottom and 1.5 across at the widest point. Antique brass ear wires finish the look.
