Manisha Earring — Czech Glass
Intricately woven and colorful invoking thoughts of sultry nights on the subcontinent. At least that is what I was going for when I stitched these.
I begin with the top diamond shape using Japanese glass seed beads. I finish the last corner with an unusual Czech glass bead, red with a Picasso finish. The Picasso finish give the bead an organic feel. Then I start on the bottom 3/4. I attach it to the diamond and reinforce it all around.
VERY light weight for the size, after all is mostly glass and thread. 2.5 is inches from the top of the hook to the bottom and 1.5 across at the widest point. Sterling silver ear wires finish the look.
