I weave a base of ivory, jade, turquoise and lapis Swarovski pearls, using the size and number of beads to sculpt the shape of this hollow bead. Next I go back over the top weaving with Japanese glass seed beads and Swarovski crystals, creating a net over the beads that stabilizes the shape.
The finished piece reminds me of a Faberge egg. It’s fancy enough for New Year’s Eve but simple enough for a t-shirt and jeans
The finished bead pendant is 1.5 inches long and almost 1 inch wide at the bottom. The pendant is on a 20.5 inch antique silver plate open link chain. The open link let’s you choose the length you prefer.
